The planning committee for this year’s Quad Jam has prepared a day for the Manhattanville community jam packed with music and food- filled activities, all of which will lead up to a performance by the popular American rock band, We the Kings.
Quad Jam will take place on Saturday, Apr. 22 from 2:00 PM until 11:45 PM on the Quad. Manhattanville College will be offering free admission for all a ending Manhattanville students.
The day will kick-off with two daytime performers. These performers will be the indie/ folk duo Sam & Jacob, who have previously played at MVL’s Local Music Festival and the second performer will be the rock band Kyle and The Pity Party.
As day turns to night, the party remains alive as the hip hop/r&b artist ImSoMaleek and opening act Sylvan LaCue will perform. Punk band Behind the Façade is also set to perform at the 2017 Quad Jam.
“The music will be extremely varied,” said Anne Horton, President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and member of the Quad Jam Committee. “Not only will students get to see amazing paid performers, but they’ll also get to see their friends from performance groups and artists who won ba le of the bands.”
In addition to live music, the Quad Jam Committee has invited caricature artists and psychics to join the campus event. There will be a range of other activities for students to participate in, such as volleyball, soccer, mechanical bulls, and bungee trampolines.
For dinner, students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of food trucks. These include, but are not limited to, Mr. Softee and Super Duper Weenie, as well as other trucks which will o er items such as tacos and an assortment of traditional Mediterranean food.
The members of the Quad Jam Committee include Anne Horton, Gianni Mogrovejo, Amber McGee, Chelsea Bueno, Maricruz Herrera, and Kelsey Gaulin.
